Lucas got up around 11 on Monday morning and set about clearing a large space in the store for Orlin to work in. He had a spare stereo in the back, just in case Orlin's work ended disasterously, and he had the tools Orlin had identified and the supplies he'd requested set up in the cleared area.
He sipped coffee and waited by the door so he could open it when Orlin arrived.
[ooc: Empire is closed on Mondays, this is locked to Orlin for stereo creation/installation!]

"Hey." he mumbled to lucas as he came in, looking over his sholder as if to make sure no one saw him.

Date: 2006-02-13 06:11 pm (UTC)"I'm good." He said gloomily, placing his duffel bag on the counter. He started pulling out various tools and supplies that he had brought with him.
He also got out the stuff Lucas had provided.
He laid out the supplies, and heated up the bunsen burner.
Acetachlorophmentazymr Glucide, fiber glass, liquid form, remote control, old cell phone, bunch of discmen, one watch, three blank cd's, and an old broken microwave from the dump.

Date: 2006-02-13 06:21 pm (UTC)Orlin looked up and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry. Erm, I guess I just have a talent with this stuff."

"Have you ever considered patenting your designs?"

Date: 2006-02-13 06:37 pm (UTC)He dissembled 4 of the discmen and began to wire random parts to the other tangle of wires he had already put together. So far, it didn't look anything like the system in his house. Yet.

Date: 2006-02-13 06:46 pm (UTC)"Is there anything you need me to do to help?" Lucas sipped his coffee. "Some coffee, perhaps?"
Work like this, in Lucas' mind, demanded caffeine.

"Ow," he said absently, as he adjusted his aim and filled a coffee mug. "Cream or sugar?"

Date: 2006-02-13 07:03 pm (UTC)He put the Acetachlorophementazyme Gloscide on the bunsen burner, and mixed in some of the fiberglass.
He had also put the wire mess into a cagelike frame and had added little chips that looked similar to nanochips, only they couldn't possibly be since these were slightly bigger.

Then he soaked a towel in cold water and wrapped it around his hand, because stoicism aside, it hurt.

Date: 2006-02-13 07:10 pm (UTC)He put the cage in a sealed metallic looking box and poured the chemical and fiberglass mix over the mess of wires. Closing the lid he punched a couple of numbers in the top.
Now to work on the remote.

"Is there anything that you don't know about?"

Date: 2006-02-13 07:16 pm (UTC)"I don't understand, please specify" He said, looking over his shoulder and smilingmischievously before returning to the remote device he was creating. This was the easy part really.

Date: 2006-02-13 07:19 pm (UTC)"Well, apparently your interpersonal communication could use some work. I hear there's a great speech teacher down at the school you could talk to."
Lucas grinned internally at the thought of CJ's reaction to this guy. That would be fun to watch.

The metallic box thing beeped and Orlin went to open it.

"Can you pass me some real cd's please?" Orlin asked.
